Jesus is the way, truth, life 4

Jesus answered,

"I am the way and

the truth and

the life.

No one comes to the Father

except through me.   John 14:6

Some years ago at Kimpo Airport

I happened to meet a western

buddhist monk.

So sorry for him,

I engaged in a conversation.

In conclusion he came to

Korea to find truth.

So I asked if he found the truth.

He asked me instead

“What is truth?” I said

“That question was asked 2000 years

ago by a Roman governor.”

He urged me “What is truth?”

“Jesus” I said.

“Jesus said I am the way and

the truth and the life.”

He was quiet. I asked which

buddhist temple he stayed.

It was one of the big ones.

I felt very sorry for him as

coming such a far away

country and doing penance

sincerely and no finding the truth.

I had an english Four Spiritual Laws

booklet timely so gave it to him with

a brief explanation of Gospel.

Later I visited the temple.

Few western young men clothed

in grey buddhist monk robe were

in penance; their faces looked so

cold and stiffened to the level

of frightening.

He I met at the airport was not

there.

Today’s Christmas booklet page 41

is continued, the Bible chapter to

memorize each month.

These chapters are the core

Christianity, only in Christian faith.

Now it is the chapter for May, John 14.

John 14-16 are the most heartfelt

Jesus’ promises and request for

his beloved 11 disciples: It was his

last night on earth after last passover

supper before his crucifixion about

12 hours.

“Let my love and my life and my

inheritance be made known to all ”

For this he promised everything:

He promised sending his Spirit,

the Holy Spirit.

His beloved 11 disciples received

Jesus promises of all privileges

as his children and workers.

Now this is the same to all

his children.
