Jacob’s big family

Then the man said,

"Your name will no longer be

Jacob, but Israel, because

you have struggled with God and

with men and have overcome."

Genesis 32:28 

Jacob struggled in his

mother’s womb with his brother

and came out grasping

his brother’s heel.

He so desired God’s blessing of

first son.

He knew it early on without

God’s blessing he could not

live life successfully; for it

he struggled and wrestled.

He struggled with his brother,

workers, and so to have the

loving wife, and brothers and

father in law, and finally with

God and overcome.

Some of his brothers of 11 who

were born from 2 wives and

2 servants of Jacob learned this

without their father’s heart so that

the 11th son Joseph a prime-minister

had to ask them not to quarrel on

the way home.

God pleased with Jacob’s such

a desire.

This is what Jesus saying

“ . . violent people have been

raiding the kingdom of heaven.”

God appeared to Jacob time and

again, and promised, protected and

guided until he completely succeed.

At last God gave a new name

Israel instead of Jacob.

Israel means

“You have struggled with God and

humans and have overcome.”

Through this Israel

the Savior Jesus came, and after

about 3,700 years now Israel is

one of the most important nations

on earth.

May is called queen of season,

month of love.

In May are children’s day whom Jesus loved

especially, parents day, couple’s day, family day,

missing children’s day and labor day in Korea.

All these are for people.

The love of God who admires people so much

that he blesses all of them with natural blessings

and he so desires them to love each other,

be happy and prosperous.

God’s love is like blowing the silky May wind.

Love gives us joy, strength and awakens all

my dream and potential. God loves me so.
