Now Deborah, Rebekah's nurse,

died and was buried under

the oak below Bethel.

So it was named Allon Bacuth.

Genesis 35:8 

Jacob, Israel’s 11th son Joseph

was sold as a slave at the age

of 17 by their half brothers’

jealousy.

He was sold to the house of the

chief officer of king’s security.

Where he was entrusted with

all by the officer because of

his faithfulness and ability.

However he was sent to a prison

by refusing the officer’s wife lure.

The prison was for political

criminals where he was favored

again and all managements were

entrusted with him for long time.

There Joseph learned about

highest level of political theories

and practices.

After many years in a prison on

a false charge, God’s plan was

realized: Joseph interpreted the

king’s historical dream of national

drought and suggested to deal.

And he was appointed as a

prime minister at the age of 30

then the greatest kingdom Egypt.

Joseph lost his mother in his

childhood with her leaving

a newborn baby brother to him.

These two motherless boys

lived among their 10 half

brothers with their mothers in

jealousy and struggling family.

How could he develop such

godly, strong, faithful and able

character?

Yes from his father and I

assume from his grandfather

Isaac and grandmother Rebekah

also who both lived when

Joseph was sold.

After Jacob returned to homeland

with a great number of family

Rebekah seemed to leave all

great household managements to

her childhood nurse Deborah and

she did rearing her grand children;

later solely on motherless

two children, Joseph and Benjamin.

She nurtured them well not only

physically but spiritually as well.

Spiritual nurturer is so important,

many of them have been mother side.

Faithful women are so important

and precious on this earth and to

God matchlessly.

May is called queen of season,

month of love.

In May are children’s day whom Jesus loved

especially, parents day, couple’s day, family day,

missing children’s day and labor day in Korea.

All these are for people.

The love of God who admires people so much

that he blesses all of them with natural blessings

and he so desires them to love each other,

be happy and prosperous.

God’s love is like blowing the silky May wind.

Love gives us joy, strength and awakens all

my dream and potential. God loves me so.
