Hannah, mother of faith
So now I give him to the LORD.
For his whole life he will be given
over to the LORD." And
he worshiped the LORD there.
1 Samel 1:27,28
Samuel was the last faithful
judge of the patriarch age who
anointed David the founding king
of Israel and first King Saul.
His mother Hannah is famous.
She did not finish her life
with great anguish and grief
and her husband’s second wife’s
provocation because she did not
have a child.
She believed in Good God.
In the house of the Lord
she prayed God earnestly for
a son whom she promised to give
him to God to serve whole life.
In the house of the Lord
the judge Eli blessed her
God to grant her prayer; and
she believed it.
She nurtured her son Samuel
to engrave his heart to live up
to her promise.
It could be around 5 years old
soon after his weaning she took
him to the house of the Lord
and dedicated him.
God gave her 5 more children
whom she even did not ask.
Our God is such a God.
Samuel served the Lord faithfully
all his life, he prepared to found
the elect Israel nation through whom
our Lord Savior Jesus to come.
Only sadness is his sons were not
following the steps of their father
but influenced by Eli’s sons
who were scoundrels.
Children who live in an evil
spiritual environment such as
today’s parents must nurture
their children in person.
May is called queen of season,
month of love.
In May are children’s day whom Jesus loved
especially, parents day, couple’s day, family day,
missing children’s day and labor day in Korea.
All these are for people.
The love of God who admires people so much
that he blesses all of them with natural blessings
and he so desires them to love each other,
be happy and prosperous.
God’s love is like blowing the silky May wind.
Love gives us joy, strength and awakens all
my dream and potential. God loves me so.
What is love?
