Jehoshaphat good king’s tragic family

Now Jehoshaphat had great wealth

and honor, and he allied himself with

Ahab by marriage. 2 Chronicles 18:1 

The son of good King Asa

Jehoshaphat was truly good king.

He visited around countryside to

teach people return to God wholly.

He kept peace with neighbor countries

but was strong and capable.

After his death, prophet Isaiah

wrote a tribute of adoration for him.

However King Jehoshaphat’s

sons, all grandchildren and

royal family were murdered

except a grandson baby prince

whom his aunt hid.

The murderer was his daughter in law.

She might be the one stirred up her

husband to kill all his prince brothers.

After a little while, her husband

king Jehoram died by God’s strike to

no one’s regret, her only son after

all other princes killed by neighbor

country invasion set on thrown but

killed soon after: She desired the

thrown so murdered her husband’s

children, all princes and royal family.

This murderer, daughter in law of

king Jehoshaphat is Athaliah; the

daughter of the most evil king

Ahab and his wife Jezebel worse

then her husband.

Like parents, like daughter.

This most evil daughter in law

scorched the 3 generations of

king Jehoshaphat’s family.

Such a good and capable

king Jehoshaphat brought this

destruction because of close

relationship with and finally

allied by marriage the most

evil king and his wife in the

history of 300 years of Israel;

who both sold their souls to satan.

Marriage of oneself and one’s

children is so very important.

That is why the Bible deals

marriage such seriously.

It was Jesus who performed first

miracle at the wedding house in

a village to bless them.

The couple God paired with and

as the family with Lordship would

serve him, be safe, be successful

and be blessed generations for sure.

This is the promise the Bible tells.

May is called queen of season,

month of love.

In May are children’s day whom Jesus loved

especially, parents day, couple’s day, family day,

missing children’s day and labor day in Korea.

All these are for people.

The love of God who admires people so much

that he blesses all of them with natural blessings

and he so desires them to love each other,

be happy and prosperous.

God’s love is like blowing the silky May wind.

Love gives us joy, strength and awakens all

my dream and potential. God loves me so.
