Missionary Mark

When the day of Pentecost came,

they were all together in one place.

Suddenly a sound like the blowing of

a violent wind came from heaven and

filled the whole house where they

were sitting. Acts 2:1,2 

Young man Mark saw Jesus having

the last supper with his disciples at

his house upper room.

He saw Jesus on trial after

Gethsemane prayer and death

on the cross

He saw Jesus who came after

his resurrection to his disciples

who hid themselves in his house.

On the Pentcost he and his family

may have been among those some

120 people praying earnestly

for 10 days.

And the Spirit of Jesus, Holy Spirit

came like fire and filled them all.

He may be one of those evangelists

while many believed Jesus as

Messiah, the Savior, and wonders

and miracles before them in

Jerusalem and everywhere around.

Immediately Jewish persecution

erupted; deacon Steven martyed by

stoning and young scholar Saul voted

for his killing and went to arrest

Jesus believers.

Jesus disciple James was martyered.

Many from Jerusalem moved after

arranging their assets to elsewhere

escaping persecution; many to

Antioch Syria.

Mark family too seemed doing

the same after arranging their big

house in Jerusalem and to Antioch.

They the refugees of Jewish Jesus

believers told the story of Jesus there

and it was spread quickly to the

countries surounding Mediteranian.

By this time resurrected Jesus met

with his persecuter Saul who was

transformed to the second beneficiary

to mankind.

In Antioch Jesus church was started

by the Jews where the gentiles joined.

In this important church had

5 spiritual leaders; Barnabas who is

cousin of Mark and Saul were

belonged to.

The Holy Spirit told them to set

apart Barnabas and Saul for his

special work.

This was how such an important

1st missionary journey of Paul

in south Turkey presently started.

Mark went along with them as an assistant

to them.

He seemed to be most prepared for that job.

May is called queen of season,

month of love.

In May are children’s day whom Jesus loved

especially, parents day, couple’s day, family day,

missing children’s day and labor day in Korea.

All these are for people.

The love of God who admires people so much

that he blesses all of them with natural blessings

and he so desires them to love each other,

be happy and prosperous.

God’s love is like blowing the silky May wind.

Love gives us joy, strength and awakens all

my dream and potential. God loves me so.
