Angel of the Lord
After the Sabbath, at dawn on
the first day of the week,
Mary Magdalene and the other Mary
went to look at the tomb.
There was a violent earthquake,
for an angel of the Lord came down
from heaven and, going to the tomb,
rolled back the stone and sat on it.
His appearance was like lightning,
and his clothes were white as snow.
The guards were so afraid of him
that they shook and became like
dead men. Matthew 28:1-4
Yesterday was resurrection Sunday,
Easter Sunday.
Alas ∼ after the St. Friday,
such a tempestuous passover festive,
they had the first Sabbath.
It was a very early dawn, dark,
the women went to the new tomb of
Jesus to put spices on him.
They followed Jesus whom they
loved from Galilee.
Arriving on the tomb there was
big earth quake and the stone blocked
the tomb entrance was rolled and
an angel of the Lord sat on it.
It was still dark yet they seemed
to see because of lightning like
angel’s appearance and his clothes
white as snow.
The guards were armed soldiers
but they were shiftlessness, shook
and became like dead men
God Father reacted through his
creation in the victorious resurrection
dawn as he did on the St. Friday
while his Son Jesus was paying the
wages of sin, the death for menkind.
The angel of the Lord tells to
the women Jesus resurrection with
earth quake, he proclaims it.
Jesus has risen!
Telling of Jesus resurrection was started
from the dawn of his resurrection.
The women with spices went to
the tomb and heard from
the angels that Jesus was resurrected.
Then they ran to the disciples to tell it.
Everyone who heard it did the same.
The life giving news of Jesus resurrection
at the farthest coast of west Asia has
come to us the farthest coast of east Asia.
So now we even know it in South Korea.
What my life would be like if I have never
heard of Jesus resurrection?
Although the most important and joyful
news is available to all, if no one tells you
how could know and get the benefit of it?
All God’s children must be tellers of
Jesus resurrection.
We talk most about what we love most.
