The third heaven

I must go on boasting.

Although there is nothing to be gained,

I will go on to visions and revelations

from the Lord.

I know a man in Christ who

fourteen years ago was caught up to

the third heaven.

Whether it was in the body or out of

the body I do not know--God knows.

And I know that this man--

whether in the body or apart from

the body I do not know, but God knows--

was caught up to paradise.

He heard inexpressible things, things

that man is not permitted to tell.

I will boast about a man like that,

but I will not boast about myself,

except about my weaknesses.

This man caught up in the

third heaven is Apostle Paul himself.

He was completely transformed after

Jesus met with him in person while

he was not only denying Jesus but

trying to kill his disciples.

But Jesus made him his co-worker

and took him into heaven in his life.

God gave best gift to his faithful

worker to complete his task.

Our Father calls his workers and

enables them to complete

their missions.

The 2 Corinthians is the Apostle Paul's second letter to the 

Corinthian Churches. Letter is the most intimate and personal.

Two thousand years ago, the Corinth city in Greece reminds

us today's New York city. The Corinth seaboard city was

then a center of trade, merchandize, wealth and luxury.

Also there was the Venus temple which led people not only

to moral deterioration but also sexual disaster.

The original location of Humanism, which against Creator God

and focus on human, the Corinth city in Greece lay in

spiritually formless, empty and darkness.

Here by God's mercy small lights began to shine. They were the

Lord Jesus' house Churches. They belong to the low social class.

Envious and jealous devil attempted to destroy God's

House Churches by questioning Paul's integrity and Apostleship.

And it caused to delay and complicate the promised loving

collection as well for the poverty stricken Jerusalem church.  

It was the process of the life giving Gospel to us, and it

continues so. How beautiful are the feet those who

bring good news !
