For your strengthening

Be that as it may,

I have not been a burden to you.

Yet, crafty fellow that I am,

I caught you by trickery!

Did I exploit you through any of

the men I sent you?

I urged Titus to go to you and

I sent our brother with him.

Titus did not exploit you, did he?

Did we not act in the same spirit and

follow the same course?

Have you been thinking all along

that we have been defending ourselves

to you?

We have been speaking in the sight of

God as those in Christ; and

everything we do, dear friends, is

for your strengthening.

2 Corinthians 12:16-19

Amazing love in this selfish world !

Apostle Paul and each of his mission

team were following the same course

of love and giving all good that

they could to the Corinthian Church.

It was only for the sake of believers

strengthening because of Jesus love.

No wonder why Christian nations

prosper exceedingly better then

other nations without such belief

throughout 2000 years.

The 2 Corinthians is the Apostle Paul's second letter to the 

Corinthian Churches. Letter is the most intimate and personal.

Two thousand years ago, the Corinth city in Greece reminds

us today's New York city. The Corinth seaboard city was

then a center of trade, merchandize, wealth and luxury.

Also there was the Venus temple which led people not only

to moral deterioration but also sexual disaster.

The original location of Humanism, which against Creator God

and focus on human, the Corinth city in Greece lay in

spiritually formless, empty and darkness.

Here by God's mercy small lights began to shine. They were the

Lord Jesus' house Churches. They belong to the low social class.

Envious and jealous devil attempted to destroy God's

House Churches by questioning Paul's integrity and Apostleship.

And it caused to delay and complicate the promised loving

collection as well for the poverty stricken Jerusalem church.  

It was the process of the life giving Gospel to us, and it

continues so. How beautiful are the feet those who

bring good news !
