                           The Fellowship

So even though I wrote to you,

it was not on account of the

one who did the wrong or of

the injured party,

but rather that before God you could

see for yourselves how devoted to

us you are.

By all this we are encouraged.

In addition to our own encouragement,

we were especially delighted to see

how happy Titus was, because

his spirit has been refreshed by

all of you. 2 Corinthians 7:12,13

Apostle Paul planted a Church in

a worldly port city Corinth and

faced various problems due to

sin and ignorance among young

Christians there.

He wrote anxiously.

Titus, his faithful mission team

worker who took Paul's letter to

them.

On returning, he reported that

the Church was devoted to Paul

and his teaching before God.

With this report Paul and his team

were comforted and empowered.

Titus was refreshed and very happy

because of the believer's love and

devotion.

Seeing him Paul's team was so delighted.

This is Christian loving fellowship. 

Nowadays medical science finds

people with such a fellowship sick

significantly less and live much longer.

The 2 Corinthians is the Apostle Paul's second letter to the 

Corinthian Churches. Letter is the most intimate and personal.

Two thousand years ago, the Corinth city in Greece reminds

us today's New York city. The Corinth seaboard city was

then a center of trade, merchandize, wealth and luxury.

Also there was the Venus temple which led people not only

to moral deterioration but also sexual disaster.

The original location of Humanism, which against Creator God

and focus on human, the Corinth city in Greece lay in

spiritually formless, empty and darkness.

Here by God's mercy small lights began to shine. They were the

Lord Jesus' house Churches. They belong to the low social class.

Envious and jealous devil attempted to destroy God's

House Churches by questioning Paul's integrity and Apostleship.

And it caused to delay and complicate the promised loving

collection as well for the poverty stricken Jerusalem church.  

It was the process of the life giving Gospel to us, and it

continues so. How beautiful are the feet those who

bring good news !
