                        Grace of giving

So we urged Titus, since he had earlier

made a beginning, to bring also to

completion this act of grace on your part.

But just as you excel in everything--

in faith, in speech, in knowledge,

in complete earnestness and in your love

for us--see that you also excel in

this grace of giving.

I am not commanding you, but I want

to test the sincerity of your love by

comparing it with the earnestness of

others. 2 Corinthians 8:6-8

Grace is gift.

Men has received the best gift from

God; it is life.

God has given men even Jesus,

whoever believes in him receives

eternal and abundant life as gift.

Men who receive this grace

receive grace of giving as well.

Wealth, knowledge and water

become spoil when piled up only.

As they are given to the needy,

they return several folds with joy,

honor and thanksgiving after its

mission of expanding abundant life.

To those saints considering piling

wealth is rich, Apostle Paul urges

and teach to grow Jesus character

by action of grace of giving.

See the world,

Christian countries with this belief

and act, they are wealthy, strong

and leaders of the world.

It is God's law.

The 2 Corinthians is the Apostle Paul's second letter to the 

Corinthian Churches. Letter is the most intimate and personal.

Two thousand years ago, the Corinth city in Greece reminds

us today's New York city. The Corinth seaboard city was

then a center of trade, merchandize, wealth and luxury.

Also there was the Venus temple which led people not only

to moral deterioration but also sexual disaster.

The original location of Humanism, which against Creator God

and focus on human, the Corinth city in Greece lay in

spiritually formless, empty and darkness.

Here by God's mercy small lights began to shine. They were the

Lord Jesus' house Churches. They belong to the low social class.

Envious and jealous devil attempted to destroy God's

House Churches by questioning Paul's integrity and Apostleship.

And it caused to delay and complicate the promised loving

collection as well for the poverty stricken Jerusalem church.  

It was the process of the life giving Gospel to us, and it

continues so. How beautiful are the feet those who

bring good news !
