                 Korean Alphabet day!

In the beginning was the Word,

and the Word was with God,

and the Word was God. John 1:1

Today is the Korean alphabet day.

It avails to write God's word in Korean.

About 600 years ago the Great King

Saejong made it.

There are few ethnic nations that

have their own alphabets among

24,000 ethnicity on earth.

Those of China and Japan can make

about 300-500 sounds but of

Korean 11,000.

130 some years ago missionaries from

the western world exclaimed.

They translated western studies,

the Bible, hymns and other literatures

into Korean then still chinese was

common among the upper class and

no writing available among the common.

Therefore the light began to shed

on Korean, now it has been known

one of the greatest writings and help

to the ethnics without alphabet.

To the Great King Saejong and

missionaries who translated

the Bible into Korean and

generalized Korean to Koreans,

Korean scholars and literarymen

we have heartful gratitude.

The more we know Korean the more

appreciate its function to express

Korean culture and men's life.

Nowadays English, foreign languages

and even chinese are rampant so that

one finds hard to understand

reading signboard.

Wouldn't it be good to use Koreans

Korean in Korea?

If so and develop, beautiful language

and writings will pour out because of

Korean's long and rich culture.

Mission literature may be enhanced too.

The 2 Corinthians is the Apostle Paul's second letter to the 

Corinthian Churches. Letter is the most intimate and personal.

Two thousand years ago, the Corinth city in Greece reminds

us today's New York city. The Corinth seaboard city was

then a center of trade, merchandize, wealth and luxury.

Also there was the Venus temple which led people not only

to moral deterioration but also sexual disaster.

The original location of Humanism, which against Creator God

and focus on human, the Corinth city in Greece lay in

spiritually formless, empty and darkness.

Here by God's mercy small lights began to shine. They were the

Lord Jesus' house Churches. They belong to the low social class.

Envious and jealous devil attempted to destroy God's

House Churches by questioning Paul's integrity and Apostleship.

And it caused to delay and complicate the promised loving

collection as well for the poverty stricken Jerusalem church.  

It was the process of the life giving Gospel to us, and it

continues so. How beautiful are the feet those who

bring good news !
