                   Rely on God

Indeed, in our hearts we felt

the sentence of death.

But this happened that we might

not rely on ourselves but on

God, who raises the dead.

2 Corinthians 1:9

The suffering which has purpose.

All alone, even

an additional leave on a shoulder

could make one breaks down,

problems like iron sticks flying

and filing on around,

it is a matter of time to struck

one, there are periods like this

for God's workers.

They face troubles for which

little sleep doing best, efficiently,

faithfully and hard work to the

point of the bones feeling breaking

do they toil in futile.

Finally they have to accept

the reality that they are thrown in

the lions' den; and nothing can be

done nor anyone would help.

For the benefits of God's children

God himself planned such an

educational circumstance.

God wants to teach his children

to rely on him alone joyfully

who can do all for us and

wants to do.

He is the one who rose

his Son Jesus from death.

Just like God sent an angel to

the lion den to close lions'

mouths.

This is natural way of life

for God's children and workers.

The 2 Corinthians is the Apostle Paul's second letter to the

Corinthian Churches. Letter is the most intimate and personal.

Two thousand years ago, the Corinth city in Greece reminds

us today's New York city. The Corinth seaboard city was

then a center of trade, merchandize, wealth and luxury.

Also there was the Venus temple which led people not only

to moral deterioration but also sexual disaster.

The original location of Humanism, which against Creator God

and focus on human, the Corinth city in Greece lay in

spiritually formless, empty and darkness.

Here by God's mercy small lights began to shine. They were the

Lord Jesus' house Churches. They belong to the low social class.

Envious and jealous devil attempted to destroy God's

House Churches by questioning Paul's integrity and Apostleship.

And it caused to delay and complicate the promised loving

collection as well for the poverty stricken Jerusalem church.  

It was the process of the life giving Gospel to us, and it

continues so. How beautiful are the feet those who

bring good news !
