The first martyrs
When Herod realized that
he had been outwitted by the Magi,
he was furious, and he gave orders
to kill all the boys in Bethlehem and
its vicinity who were two years old and
under, in accordance with the time
he had learned from the Magi.
Then what was said through
the prophet Jeremiah was fulfilled:
"A voice is heard in Ramah,
weeping and great mourning,
Rachel weeping for her children and
refusing to be comforted, because
they are no more." Matthew 2:16-18
The Great King Herod who was
a sovereign ruler during
the first Christmas.
He feared a Baby Jesus instead of
worshiping him; Who should be the one
to save the mankind from their sins.
Herod had become a tool of
killer Satan who was the killer of
first persons Adam and Eve by
deceiving them to betray God, and
they were overtaken by shame and fear.
Some 30 children killed by Herod
due to Jesus birth might be called
the youngest martyrs.
Now they are singing new songs of
glory and thanksgiving to God in
the glorious heaven living beautiful and
perfect, worshiping God all the time.
They are the witness of Christmas.
