They spread

​

So they hurried off and found

Mary and Joseph, and the baby,

who was lying in the manger.

​When they had seen him,

they spread the word concerning

what had been told them about this child,

and all who heard it were amazed at

what the shepherds said to them.

But Mary treasured up all these things

and pondered them in her heart. Luke 2:16-19

An angel said to the shepherds

in the field

a Good Shepherd, Savior was born.

​Suddenly a great company of

heavenly host and angel sang together

​"Glory to God in the highest, and

on earth peace to men on whom

his favor rests."

​The Shepherds left sheep in the pen

and ran to Bethlehem where

the angel said them.

They told all this to baby Jesus and

his parents.

From that dawn they spread

the Savior birth everywhere.

​The shepherds were

the first true newsmen.

​This was how the Christmas news

first spread and now

this news has become

the most joyous and

a great festival for mankind.

​All God's children must be

continuing true newsmen of this news

until Jesus coming back on

this planet again

as a King of Judge and glory.
