​               Predecessors of our Faith

13.

All these people were still

living by faith when they died.

​They did not receive the things promised;

they only saw them and welcomed them

from a distance.

And they admitted that

they were aliens and strangers on earth.

The promise from God,

a nation from which blessings flow

was welcomed in time distance by

Abraham to him it was first given

and his descendants.

​They all died physically but are living

with God's living word and promise.

They knew and admitted they were aliens

and strangers on earth and

God's word is being established in eternity.
