Friend

in a personal relationship in

english is the most honorable term.

Parents are most honored to be

called friends from their children.

In english "He is not my friend"

includes a tragic connotation that

he is my betrayer or has

nothing to do with my life.

This may be the western world's

value system and culture is on

the foundation of what Jesus said

"Greater love has no one than

this, that he lay down his life for

his friends" and called his disciples

friends and layed his life

eventually for the sin of them

and all of us on earth.

John 14-16 are the most heartfelt

Jesus’ promises and request for

his beloved 11 disciples: It was his

last night on earth after last passover

supper before his crucifixion about

12 hours.

“Let my love and my life and my

inheritance be made known to all ”

For this he promised everything:

He promised sending his Spirit,

the Holy Spirit.

His beloved 11 disciples received

Jesus promises of all privileges

as his children and workers.

Now this is the same to all

his children.
