Lunar New Year, Sulnaal
Therefore, if anyone is in Christ,
he is a new creation;
the old has gone, the new has come!
2 Corinthians 5:17
♪ 감사와 사랑으로 오늘 외우는 말씀
In the eve of Sulnaal we used to wake up at night
in the excitement of expecting eating ddukguk,
one more age, new cloth and going around relatives
to give a new year longbow when we were children.
When we become adult the lunar New Year has been
considered somewhat a burden to celebrate,
thus complaining about two new years in one year.
But as we are aging it is understandable
that how much people want something new and
celebration as realizing life is hard.
It may be good to celebrate this second New Year
this year if we are joyful and comfort each other.
Therefore, if anyone is in Christ,
he is a new creation;
the old has gone, the new has come!
In Jesus Christ everyday is new,
everything can be started anew.
The failure of the past and today, injustice,
lose, shame for these the enemy devil whispers;
this is the end of your life.
This is entirely different in Christ Jesus.
It is a new life to start today.
It is a new spirit and body.
Every work, each moment, thinking, talk, behavior,
dreams are eternally new and can be started anew.
It is all because of Jesus' life.
Yes, it is so opposite to the aging body that
dies because of sin.
All new is because God the Father's ambition
to raise his children to the measure of Jesus
who has given everyone the second chance
to become God's child only by believing
Jesus the Savior.
Wouldn't it be great to celebrate the days of
greatest actualization of God's love and of
the almighty power of the universe the Christmas,
Jesus Resurrection as joyful national celebration,
and our thanksgiving to him as God's children
who love new and to celebrate the Creator and
his Creature.
God bless you for his eyes are on you
always.
